A Fresh Start in Holly Hills!

Introducing Denver's newest homeowner - Kirstin! I met Kirstin and her daughter at an open house in a gorgeous Holly Hills home. They had just moved to Denver and were looking to put down permanent roots.

Though Kirstin held her cards close, it was clear that her daughter was truly in love with the home. And who wouldn't be? It's a stunning 1950's ranch home with five bedrooms and a sun-drenched addition that extends the kitchen. The property backs to a baseball field and connects to a top rated elementary school in the coveted Cherry Creek school district. The backyard feels like a set piece from a movie with a large apple tree taking center stage, lush grass, and raised garden beds ready to produce for another season.

I got to know them as we toured the home and felt confident that we were standing in their future home. I quickly learned that they were unrepresented and wanted to put in an offer, so we got the ball rolling and didn't stop until we were under contract.

The under contract process on this deal was smooth as butter. We received concessions for everything we asked for at inspection and the appraisal was waived. This experience was particularly unique for me because my amazing team lead, Chelsea Steen, was the listing agent! Working on the other end of deal from her was a learning experience I will not forget.

The best part of this deal was seeing how thrilled Kirstin's daughter was to move in. Home is a special place. It's a place you get to create for yourself. It's a place to start fresh. It's a place that feels safe. I watched as this young girl excitedly ran from room to room with her  neighborhood friends, showing them her vision for the space and I saw myself in her. I remembered all of the times I moved from apartment to apartment, convincing my mom to let me hang posters of my favorite boy bands, carefully clipped from the lastest J-14 magazine. Though those transitions weren't always happy ones, making our new space feel like home was always a welcome distraction from the reality of moving over and over again.

Congratulations to Kirstin and her daughter for a smooth and successful transition from one chapter to the next. I wish you both an abundance of happy memories in your new home!
