Kayla & Fedde Find Their Forever Home in Ruby Hill!

Meet Kayla and Fedde, a young couple with the dream of finding their forever home. We met at an open house last spring and I knew immediately that I wanted to be a part of their home journey. That day I learned that the home I was hosting open was very similar to what they were looking for, but missing a few key ingredients. I was curious to learn more about what they needed in a home and their motivations for buying, so I asked if they'd like to chat over coffee.

Before leaving the open house, Kayla, Fedde, and I made plans to meet the following week at Hudson Hill and dive deeper into their goals and timeline.

At our meeting I learned that they were looking to purchase a property as their lifelong residence. I appreciated their desire to dwell in one home for the rest of their lives and knew that we were looking for something special. We created a search for an older single family home on the west side of town with at least two bedrooms, two bathrooms, covered parking, and a large yard to garden in. It was important for them that the home have charming character and room for improvement and personal touches over time.

Within a few days they were set up on their search and we were making plans to explore different neighborhoods. All in, we toured nine homes over six months and submitted three offers before securing the PERFECT home for them!

Our under contract process flowed smoothly over the course of 30 days with easy negotiations at inspection, an appraised value at our offer price, and a seamless job on the loan side by Bryson Schoenecke of Cross Country Mortgage!

Their new home is directly across the street from Ruby Hill Park and backs to open space. The previous owners lived there for 30+ years and left little treasures, like love notes, throughout the house - evidence of a beautiful life together. The selling point for Kayla and Fedde was the backyard, which was perfectly designed for gardening. The owner's daughter, who assisted with the sale, shared with us that the soil had been tilled and amended by the previous owners for the entire span of their ownership - making it some of the richest soil in Denver.

Kayla and Fedde knew what they were looking for from the very beginning of their search. Their ultimate goal was to buy their first and last home at the same time. It took the span of a spring and summer in a market with low inventory and high interest rates to find it, but find it they did. It's a beautiful thing to help a young couple find the home they'll grow old in. I am so grateful to Kayla and Fedde for trusting me to help them through this process and it was a joy to witness their journey firsthand.

Creating a living for myself by helping people find their place to live is a unique pursuit. I feel lucky to be a small part in a chapter of someone else's story. It instills me a gratitude for my community, my city, and my career.

Thank you Kayla and Fedde for allowing me to join you on this journey. I wish you a lifetime of happiness in your home and a trail of little treasures to leave behind.

A special thank you to the folks who made this transaction seamless:
